BREA, Calif. (October 4, 2011) – Cha Cha’s Tacos & Tequila, the fresh innovative Latin restaurant located in Brea Downtown, is proud to announce they have been named “Critic’s Choice” for the Best Happy Hour in Orange County by the prestigious Orange County Register.  This is Cha Cha’s second “Critic’s Choice” in as many years; last year they were chosen for their delicious handcrafted House Margarita.

“We are honored to have been chosen the ‘Critic’s Choice’ for Best Happy Hour in Orange County,” said Don Myers, co-founder of Cha Cha’s Tacos and Tequila.  “The competition for Best Happy Hour is very competitive.

Everything that we do at Cha Cha’s strives for a fantastic guest experience from using only freshly selected ingredients in all of cuisine to the fresh fruit garnishes on all of our margaritas. We don’t take shortcuts and it is obviously working as this is the second year we have been chosen.”

Cha Cha’s award-winning Happy Hour features $5 handcrafted Margaritas, Mojitos and their special house-made Sangria, which is a blend of red wine infused with fresh citrus, tropical fruit, and orange liqueur.  Also on tap are $4 beers (including Tecate, Dos Equis Amber and Blue Moon) and special priced appetizers.  

A few of Cha Cha’s specially priced Happy Hour appetizers include:

  • Crisp Calamari – Deep fried squid lightly coated with Mexican spices and golden cornmeal served with
    lime-cilantro aioli.
  • Wood-Fired” Queso Fundido - Traditional “cazuela” baked cheeses over roasted poblano pepper and potatoes.
  • Nachos Cha Cha’s - A healthy serving of crisp tortillas layered with epazote black beans, melted Mexican cheeses and served with a side of pico de gallo, jalapeno-escabeche, and sour cream

To celebrate the award, Cha Cha’s has expanded the hours of its lounge-only Happy Hour to

  • Sun - Thurs: All Day 
  • Friday: 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
